Personal

Eddie brings an energy that the guys feed off of. On the field he’s an energetic player. He sprays the ball to both sides of the field, knowing when to be aggressive as well as when to get the job done in other situations. He takes a lot of pride in his defensive work over at 1st base, as he’s primarily been there for the last 4 years. He’s more than confident in his athleticism to move him around to different positions on the field. There will be plenty of video to see some in game offensive/defensive play as well.

He’s primarily been at 1st base over the last 4 years of his college career. He has had many defensive highlights over the last 4 years in that corner spot and has practiced at other corner positions as well.

His first two years of his college career he was a pitcher only at Eastern Kentucky University, where he red-shirted and stayed for 1 more season. Although he did not log any innings here, he’s more than capable of a relief inning or two as he was recruited to college for being a pitcher. After his second year there, he decided to trust his gut and return to the infield and hitting and it was one of the best decisions he’s ever made.

He has practiced around 3rd base, as well as the corner outfield positions just in case. Although he feels confident in those positions, he’s never had to go to these positions in a game as he’s started every game at 1st base.

As a teammate he would describe himself as reliable. Having such a rollercoaster ride of a college career, he understand when others are down or looking for help/tips and he’ll always be the first guy there to help. Over the last few seasons he’s been the “older guy” on the team so he finds himself talking guys up or keeping them focused by leading by example. Will always bring the energy to the field for others to feed off of.

Overseas Goals

I want to extend my baseball career by playing professionally overseas. I am so well versed in the baseball world after playing my entire life, and would love to share and gain knowledge throughout some of the best players around the world. I would love to travel the world while playing the game I love.

I’m currently in my last D1 season at the University of Nebraska Omaha, so we are still playing games and lifting regularly until late May.

Nick Chambers

Former Coach at Chattanooga State CC

Eddie is an ultra competitor in anything that he does in life. He is one of those guys that you wish you had more of in your organization. He comes from from a great family who instilled the values of hard work and integrity at an early age. Anyone that has had the opportunity to be around Eddie knows that he is a natural leader who people gravitate towards.

When it comes to baseball he has created and earned every opportunity that has came his way through his unmatched work ethic. Having Eddie on the field is like having another coach out there, his baseball IQ is off the charts. I’ve enjoyed watching Eddie grow over the past few years and look forward to seeing where the game continues to take him.

Evan Porter

Head Coach at U of Nebraska Omaha

I’m happy to help with Eddie as he is a great ball player and an even better human being. Eddie can play multiple positions exceptionally well and can also pitch. In my opinion, he is the best defensive 1st baseman in NCAA D1 baseball. He made 0 errors last year for us and was nominated for NCAA Gold Glove Award. Offensively, he is the real deal as he can hit for average and power. His ability to get on base is exceptional, his OBP proves it.

Eddie will be a magnificent addition to any Euro ball club lucky enough to get him. I played in Germany, Sweden (3x), Holland, and Australia… I understand the importance of a high character, reliable, and mature import. Eddie is all of these things and more.

Brian Strawn

Assistant Coach at U of Nebraska Omaha

I played 4 seasons over in Sweden, and I can say with confidence that Eddie has a perfect makeup to become a successful player overseas.

Eddie is in his second year with Omaha Baseball, and we have truly enjoyed having him in our program. Eddie is one of the best defenders in the region, and one of the toughest outs at the plate as well. He has been a catalyst for our program the last two years, and we are going to miss him when he graduates. I spent a few seasons playing in Sweden, so I have a good idea what the seasons/responsibilities are like when playing for a European club, and Eddie would make a tremendous addition to any baseball club lucky enough to have him. Eddie also has a background in pitching and could be used to close out games as well. I cannot give enough of an endorsement for Eddie Satisky, he is going to immediately elevate any club lucky enough to sign him.
