Personal

I have been playing baseball since I was 4 years old. I have played in all of our city’s competitive leagues, and I played all four years of high school and two years of college. I have played every season and every summer on scout teams until I moved to Colorado to play for Colorado Northwestern College. My experience there was hampered by snow and the cancellation of the baseball season.  Now I am ready to get back into action, and I am hoping for an opportunity to play on a pro team.

I am very athletic, and I work on my game every day. I catch bullpens for a newly signed pitcher for the Houston Astros. I also catch for other coaches who want to keep their pitchers sharp.
I have a solid foundation in the fundamentals of the game. I have good speed on the bases and manage to steal a good number of bases.  Behind the plate, my pop time is 1.9, and the fastest is 1.8. My strongest points are my arm strength and my framing. Pitchers like to have me catch them because I’m known for stealing a lot of strikes. On offense, I am a line-drive hitter who works gap to gap with power. I am finished with college, and I am ready to move to the next level in baseball. To ensure I stay in shape, I work out and run every day so I am always ready to play.

Overseas goals:

  • Use overseas as a stepping stone into professional ball in the U.S.
  • Experience new cultures and meet new people
  • Use my knowledge and experience to help grow the game globally
  • Stay active during the offseason in a winter league

It’s absolutely my pleasure to provide feedback on Dustin. I’ve been in the game for over 35 years played in college, coach High School & Travel currently, have coached Travel softball in the past and also work as a professional scout currently. Dustin eats, sleeps, dreams baseball as we all do in this game, but his drive, work ethic and patience to allow a process to happen is on the highest level. He’s just coming into his own in truly understanding his mechanics and body to get the most out it, I believe he has not come close to hitting his ceiling. His Baseball IQ is probably his biggest strength and is what has carried him this far, but like I said previously he’s really starting to put all aspects of the game together. He’s a high character guy and I would recommend Dustin for an opportunity.
