Personal

I’m an english and french speaking Canadian ballplayer searching for a European professional club to play for in the 2022. With one year experience playing semi-pro in the Canadian IBL for the Barrie Baycats.

On the field, I have been a part of some great teams. Winning the CCBC title in 2017 as a freshman, I was able to learn how to be a champion early. While playing NCAA, I helped lead the team to 2 conference titles. I lead by example on the field by playing a hard-gritty style of baseball. I also understand the mental highs and lows of the game and focus on controlling what is controllable.

Off-field I am a chatty and energized guy. Grew up on a beef and grain farm in central Alberta where I developed a love for the outdoors and farming! Eventually I want to begin my own regenerative farm back home but want to continue my ball career for as long as I can. I’ve worked a few jobs other than on the farm. I was a helper for a residential H-VAC worker, a residential plumber helper, and currently hold a position as a tool hand at an oil field company.

David is an elite lead-off hitter with the ability to hit for contact & power as well as steal bases, evidenced by his consistently high on-base percentages & career numbers at Husson University.

He has good speed and is an aggressive baserunner, always looking for steal opportunities and chances to take extra bases.  In college, he had a 79-percent success rate at base-stealing.

David can play all three outfield positions, tracks the ball well, and has speed that helps him reach balls that others may not get to.  The velocity on his throws ranges in the low-90s (mph).

He is a very coachable player with good communication skills who is a leader on and off the field.  He describes himself as “outgoing and hard-working, they type that arrives early to practices and games” and helps in any way possible.

He has been working out and training regularly to stay in top condition and be ready to play when an opportunity arises.

Testimonials

Chris Morris

Head Baseball Coach Husson University; Former Head Coach Sanford Mainers New England Collegiate Baseball League; Over 30 former players have signed professional contracts

I personally can't put into words how much of an impact David LeBlanc has made on my coaching career, or the baseball program here at Husson. His leadership and love for the game of baseball will leave an impression on our program for years to come. David's love for the game of baseball and ability to raise the level of play for his teammates is something you can't measure. His stats speak for themselves; he is a mature hitter who has an advanced feel for the strike zone. David will flash power to all fields and is a very intelligent baserunner.

David's best skills are on the defensive side of the ball. I have coached over 30 players who have signed professional contracts and David is one of the best defensive players I have coached. With his attention to detail and quick first step, David won games for us simply through his ability to take hits away. He has an above average arm and the ability to play all three outfield positions.

You will often find David as the first one to the field and last one to leave. He's a tireless worker and someone who has that "blue collar" work ethic. Fans and the community will quickly grow to love him with his hard-nosed style. He will be a huge asset to your program from top to bottom and will make an impact on the local community and youth programs.

Ryan MacDonald

Coach at Prairie Baseball Academy

David was one of the hardest workers in our program for the 3 years he was with us. He is one of those players every team wants but hates to play against. A “dirt bag” type player who plays the game hard and the right way. David is a plus defender and finds a way to always get it done at the plate. His leadership qualities and vocalization will help any team push to be better. He is a player you want on your team.
