Personal

Daniella is a righthanded power hitter who also has good speed, so she can bunt for hits and run the bases well. She has been timed in 2.99 seconds from home plate to first base.

Defensively, she offers much versatility. She has primarily been an outfielder and has played all three positions there, but she can also play first base and third base.

Daniella says she is the type of player who consistently comes to practice early or stays afterward to put in extra work.  “I believe that we should never be satisfied with our current skill [level] and that there is always something we can improve.”

She works out and trains on a regular basis to stay in top condition and keep her skills sharp.

Her college coach, Carrie Weber, has said, “Dani’s bat is as big as her heart. She has a big presence on the field that people have to contend with.”

Daniella also has coaching experience and would be interested in lending her expertise to any club she’s with. She currently works as an assistant coach at the high-school level and is also an assistant for a 16-under travel team. She says, “I really enjoy being a mentor to the young girls that I coach.  I have played for a long time and feel that I have a lot of knowledge and experience to give back to others.”

Testimonials

Olivia Olivera

Fullerton Union High School, Coach (Coworker)

I've had the wonderful opportunity to coach beside Daniella. The first thing I noticed about her was her incredible work ethic. Daniella's propensity for hard work is, without a doubt, admirable. As a coach, she has proven to be useful as a role model, leader, and overall as a strategic planner, always coming up with new ways to teach and coach her players. She is respected and valued on our coaching staff and will continue to do great things in the future.

Gary Pine

Azusa Pacific University, Athletic Director

Daniella is a hard-working, high-achieving young lady who brings a warmth to any team setting and work endeavor. She was an absolute pleasure to have in the Azusa Pacific program. She was respected and loved by her teammates, and helped maintain the strong culture of the program and endorsing and living out the values of the team. As a player, she has power to drive the ball, and a knack to produce the big hit in key situations.
