Personal
I’m an all conference left handed hitting middle infielder from Vassar College. In 2019 I led Vassar in average and OBP, hitting .350, and .375 in conference play with a .446 OBP, while also leading the team in walks and stolen bases. I am a four year starter at short, second, and third, and I am a two time all-star of the Long Island Collegiate Baseball League in the infield and outfield. I also played a stint in the Hamptons Collegiate Baseball League where I led my team in OBP at .467. In my sophomore year I was nationally ranked in strikeout percentage with 85 plate appearances and only three strikeouts. I did not strikeout a single time my senior year.
My senior season was unfortunately cut short because of the Covid-19 virus, but I hit .318 with 4rbis in 6 games, and did not make an error in 22 plays at shortstop.
I went off in that fall mini-season as well, hitting .556 with a .704 OBP and 1.481 OPS over about 40 ABs.
Most recently this past summer I won a championship with the Elwood Royals in the Long Island Stan Musial Baseball League D1 division. In that league I hit .392 with a .500 obp and 1.036 ops.
I work very well with kids, and I have experience as a tutor/coach at my local batting cages during high school. I have also helped coach at my college’s prospect camp the past three years, so I have successful experiences in the coaching department.
AWARDS:
- 2019 Liberty League All Conference
- 2019 Vassar Baseball “Silver Slugger”
- 2020 Vassar College SAAC award winner for dedication to sport and team, sportsmanship, love for the sport, hard work, and commitment to the team.
- 2020 Liberty League All Academic Team
I am a self motivated hard worker on and off the field, and I take pride in my work ethic, and improving my game at every opportunity. I play hard with a chip on my shoulder, and do whatever it takes to help my team win. I played a pivotal role as a starting middle infielder and top of the order hitter in helping Vassar College reach the tournament in consecutive years for the first time in program history, tying the all time school record for wins in the process.
I am an outstanding clutch player, and I play my best in the biggest moments. I have always thrived in pressure situations, and I do not back down from any challenge. I have leadership experience, and was a two year captain at the Bronx H.S. of Science, leading us to the New York City Championship game in Yankee stadium.
As my college career ended unexpectedly the way it did, I wholeheartedly reject the notion that this will be my last year playing, especially as I know I am continuing to improve every day, and I will not let my career be ended by a virus. I want nothing more than the opportunity to extend my career in the most competitive environment I can find, and having had teammates now playing very successfully abroad, I know I can be a strong asset to many teams. The game of baseball is sacred to me, and I would love the opportunity to be an ambassador of the game to fans and kids overseas. Thank you for putting in the time to consider my application.
My videos are my senior year highlights, general game highlights including hitting and fielding clips, 2020 summer highlights, a short fielding composite, and some cage swings to showcase hitting mechanics.
