My main secondary positions were right field and left field in college which I could play just as well as center. If I did play anywhere other than center, it was usually right field due to my arm strength. While I have not pitched in a real game in 3-4 years, my training at every position throughout my career has helped me be a well rounded player that can contribute anywhere.
I am a teammate who wants to lead by example and work toward goals that elevate the team. Inviting guys to spend free time with me to refine our swings in the cages, long toss, throw a bullpen, and/or hit the weight room has always been a source of enjoyment and self motivation. I’ve had a significant opportunity to work with elite personal training coaches such as Steve Hecht and have always tried to share that information with others. As a player I enjoy a loose atmosphere in the clubhouse and encourage other players to be in the moment and have fun.
Career highlights
Starting Centerfielder on Panola Division 1 2024 playoff team, selected all district team 2021 and 2022 in high school, selected to Dallas area Metro Scout Allstar team in 2021, player of the game numerous times during Five Tool Collegiate summer league.
Coaching
I work well with young players and can help coach for a youth baseball program supporting local a community interested in developing players with solid skills and having a great experience. While I have never coached an official team before, I am confident that I would be able to coach players across multiple positions and hitting instruction due to my background in being trained by professionals such as Jason Jennings (9 year MLB pitcher), Steve Hecht (mental performance coach for Rangers, Mariners, and Orioles 2006-2013, 2015), Jorge Hernandez (coach for Miami Marlins 2007-2025), and Antoine Howard (University of Arkansas and 1996 Olympic Trials track athlete).
Overseas Goals
I believe it’s a good time in my life to do something adventurous because I know I can still play as I’m fresh out of college, built life long friendships with international players from the Netherlands and Germany, have the freedom to push myself in this area, and have the support of my family to contribute to the growth of baseball internationally. Sharing my knowledge of the game and the fundamentals needed to develop as a player would be a very rewarding opportunity. Additionally, playing baseball overseas would be an exciting and fun way to accomplish some of the goals I was not able to achieve during college.
Current Fitness Level
Since being out of baseball, I have been going to the gym regularly while also taking creatine and protein. I also competed in intramural softball, football, and volleyball during my time at DBU. Additionally, I had regular throwing and sessions with friends who were former players as well. Lastly, in my home town, I have the fortunate access to excellent baseball training facilities this summer to help continue to stay sharp and improve skills.
