My experience at my secondary positions is extensive. My junior college was widely known for having great shortstops, so we all moved around the infield.

I am a lead by example guy. I am always the first one to the ballpark, and help my teammates whenever possible. I like to discuss baseball, especially hitting, with my teammates and get to know their perspectives. I want us to learn from each other. While at my junior college, Western Oklahoma State, I went so far as to learn Spanish so I could better communicate and identify with my Dominican, Puerto Rican, and other Latino and Carribean born teammates. I now speak conversational Spanish. I have been called a “cage rat” or some variation of the term on every team I have ever played. When my teammates need someone to get extra work in with, I am the first, and usually last, call. I like to get a lot of reps pre-game, because being fully prepared helps me feel confident when I step out onto the field.

Overseas Goals

My main goal is to advance my baseball career and move into a pro league in the US. I believe baseball overseas is a great avenue to do this, as it will provide me with pro experience. As an added bonus, I want to experience countries and cultures outside of the United States, and help grow baseball as a global game.
