Our club recruited Coco Johnson on the advisement of one of his former teammates. He came to us out of the Frontier league where he had been putting up great numbers. Sometimes when a player comes to a league a couple levels below what they’re used to it can take some time for them to find the the feel for the league. Not the case with Coco. He immediately showed his class. He is gifted with speed and power and has the baseball IQ to match. He is a great teammate and has the ability to lift others up around him. He has a great eye for breaking down a swing and loves talking hitting and approach, always happy to help teammates if they ask and he sees something they can work on. Our club runs a Junior program which Coco was a great addition to, he was great with the kids and definitely made some fans. Outfielders are rarely targets when recruiting on the international baseball scene, but any team that has a spot for one you won’t find better than this guy. He is a game winner in the box and I look forward to seeing what damage he can do if he chooses to take the international baseball path.

Windy City Thunderbolts, Head Coach

CoCo Johnson has played for me for 3 seasons. He is first and foremost, a great individual both on and off the field. He excelled in the Frontier League and the ThunderBolts for 3 seasons. He is a + runner, and a plus plus baserunner. He can steal 30 to 40 bases a year without hesitation, he has developed into a very good gap to gap hitter w/ occasional power. He has played centerfield for one season, and corner OF the other 2 seasons. His numbers with me, speak for themselves. He was a fan favorite who always had kids waiting outside the clubhouse every evening. He always volunteered to work all kids camps, always signed autographs. Coco is suited well to hit in the one, or two hole. He is at his best , when he is using all fields, and will drive fastball when in hitters counts. He will run thru a wall to make a play. I couldn’t give him a higher recommendation. Class guy, class player.
