Defensive replacement this year, as well as I played as a position player my first two years of college. Due to my struggles in my 5th year at WIU I was on the fence on going back to a small NAIA to start over as a position player.

I am someone who plays the game who puts my team first, because it’s not about just one person.

Career highlights

When facing wood bats I have 90 appearances and a 1.62 ERA.

Overseas Goals

I want to get my foot in the door to pro ball so I can continue trying to get into an affiliate team back in the states due to my struggles throughout college. Lack of self belief and focusing on the wrong things crippled me in college. It’s apparent by my stats and it took until I was playing my last games to realize what had held me back.

Just completed summer ball in Okotoks, taking part of the fall to de-load and focus on my body until I start on-ramping this winter.

I love Cade. Great kid, very out going personality. He is a great kid with a great family, Got to chat with his dad a bunch this year and also an awesome person. I am recruiting his little brother to come to my school in Oregon. Cade is a great pitcher, and even a better dude. Have had him for three years up in Canada and is always fun to be around. Competitive athlete and can throw the baseball with the best of them. I would back him up as a guy to be stud wherever he goes.

Cade Herrmann was a great teammate and fierce competitor. He was a big part of Okotoks winning back to back to back (2022 - 2024) summer league championships. Cade was a relief pitcher who gladly accepted the role as a "bridge" reliever. He came into close games, usually in the 7, 8, 9th innings with runners on base and either minimized or pitched out of the inning. In three years his approximately 60 appearances were highly intense and stressful yet he was extremely successful. He would pitch in 3 to five games per week. One series of three consecutive games at the end of the 2024 season, he threw 14 pitches. He threw 1 pitch in the first game to induce an inning ending double play. Threw 3 pitches the next night to get two outs, and 10 the next night to get 2 outs and finish the inning.

Cade's fastball is 89-92 with a plus curveball and a good slider. He is quick to the plate and holds runners well. He fields his position well.

As a teammate Cade encourages others, particularly the pitching staff, and celebrates with them when they come off the field. Coaches and players like him. He readily accepted feedback and direction from coaches.

Cade helped at Dawgs Baseball Camps along with other players. Camps usually had 50 to 100 boys and girls aged 5 to 14. He enjoyed working with kids and it was noticeable that the kids had fun when doing drills and exercises.

Cade is very motivated to continue his baseball career and I would highly recommend him to an international program. Good luck!
