Personal

Since 2015 Bryan Kloppe has been a professional manager of three different clubs in the Pecos League of Professional Baseball and the United Shore League of Professional Baseball. His focus has been primarily managing professional teams in the US in the summer and playing and managing the Cheltenham Rustlers of the Victorian State League in Australia during the winters. With the Rustlers he has also held down numerous coaching positions, most recently as the player-head coach of the men’s team during the 2019-20 season.

Bryan attributes his success as a pitcher to having an ability to command four pitches (FB, CB, SL, CH) at all times and keeping hitters off balance. He is a sidearmer who can pitch deep into games with every start. He is not an overpowering pitcher, but has the ability to get outs and give his team a chance to win on a consistent basis.

Bryan on his strengths as both a player and a coach:

“My time working for Major League Baseball as a batboy and clubhouse assistant, playing college and professional baseball and managing in professional baseball as well as in Australia have prepared me for any role in baseball as a pitcher, coach, or in management.”

Bryan prides himself in creating a culture that promotes inclusiveness and being able to get the most out of all players to have the best chance of success. Out of the five teams that Bryan has managed all five have made the playoffs including claiming two championships in four trips to league championship series.

Bryan is now looking to spend a summer in Europe playing and coaching and with his wife Amy by his side. He is currently in great shape to pitch, throw lots of batting practice and hit fungos while developing and executing a plan to create or maintain a winning culture. Any club seeking a proven winner as a player-coach for the 2020 season is encouraged to reach out to Bryan with any expressions of interest.
