Personal

Brandon is primarily a leadoff hitter, but he has better-than-average power.  He is a good hitter from gap to gap.

He has excellent speed, having been time in the 60-yard dash in as little as 6.6 seconds.  He had an 83-percent base-stealing success rate during his collegiate career.

Brandon is excellent defensively.  He has most often been a shortstop but has also played second base and all three outfield positions, so he offers a lot of versatility to a club.  The velocity on his throws across the diamond range in the mid-90s (mph).

He is very adaptable to different situations.  “I’ve always been a leader and strive to be a great teammate.  I’m also a leader in my community, and I’m currently in graduate school to study for the ministry.”

Testimonials

Gene Bowles

Prince George Community College

I can’t say enough good things about Brandon Crosby. This young man brings his heart and energy into everything he does. His path that he has taken to get where he is today, will provide the layout for an organization to look no further than Crosby.

It’s easy to find guys with talent, but it’s hard to find someone who is a great team guy, a leader and is good off the field. If I was starting a team, I would be taking Crosby in a heartbeat.

This young man also brings a different take to a club because he is great in the community and with kids. I love watching this young man work with the youth. He provides them the knowledge and information he wished he knew at their young age.

Overall, Brandon Crosby is great for the game of baseball.

Pastor of Mosby Memorial Baptist Church

Brandon possesses the ability to multitask, display creativity and provide leadership in the following ways: He has developed a mentoring program that addresses the needs of inner-city youth, he was the Captain of the NSU baseball team, served as the Vice President for the Student Advisory Committee at NSU and was a youth baseball coach. Brandon is a genuine person who is passionate about his academics and extremely ambitious in his extracurricular pursuits. I have found him to be a highly motivated, personable, and gregarious young man. Brandon is a seeker filled with the joy of life, always ready to help others and serve his community and continually spreading a degree of happiness wherever he goes.

Head coach of the Richmond Hornets baseball Team
