2-seam fast ball – 83 mph. Change up – 75 mph. Curveball – 72 mph
I’ve always been very fast and good at stealing bases. As a hitter I’ve always been someone who prides themselves on having a high on base percentage. If as a team we can generate baserunners, we apply the pressure to score runs and win games.
As a pitcher, you’re not on the field every game so I think it’s important to find other ways to help out the team and be a good teammate. I am always the player to bring a lot of energy to the team. A big part of the game is presentation and momentum. If you present yourself as a competitor you can create the momentum. That also goes hand in hand with attitude and effort. I find it extremely important to always pick your teammates up and just be a good dugout presence.
Career highlights
Cy Young award-winning pitcher in High School
Coaching
I have helped develop many players who didn’t think they would make a high school team to be able to extend their baseball careers into high school and college. I am a fierce competitor who loves to win, but I think the overall goal for coaching youth should be to prioritize their health and extending their baseball careers. Baseball has given me so much and that was only through hard work on the field and in the weight room, staying healthy and developing my game to being able to play at the next level which is the aspect of coaching I would want to help the youth of the game with.
Overseas Goals
I love the game of baseball and extending my career anywhere would be a blessing. I would love to take my career overseas because I want to share my story and knowledge with people around the world. I also want to help a team perform to the best of their abilities and grow together while visiting new places around the world.
When the Mavericks League ended 3 weeks ago, I went into my off season bulking program with a biphasic sleep schedule to promote more REM sleep recovery. Doing 2-3 work outs a day, incorporating a wide range of athletic with bulking workouts and mobility with 1-2 live performances at the Zone 22 games for Joey Molina of the Cancun Tigres, staying game ready at all times.
