He did not appear much his final two years at Claremont due to back injuries but has returned to pitching this fall.

Between the PCBL and LABL this fall (including playoffs), he went 5-0 while posting a 1.29 ERA over 35 innings with 43 strikeouts. He also batted .500 / .565 / .900 over 20 At Bats with 1 2B, 2 3B, 1 HR, 3 SB, 8 R, and 10 RBI. He was named Championship CO-MVP of the PCBL and Championship MVP of the LABL.

His arsenal includes a Fastball, Changeup, Curveball and Cutter and says he sits 85-87mph. He has filled in at 3B, 2B, 1B, C, and 0F this fall and is confident he can play any of these positions in the field for a club overseas.

Character wise, one of the hardest working players I have ever met. Really smart kid and has a real passion for baseball! He is the kid who turned himself into a ball player from not much at all. Definitely an over achiever.

Ben Meyer is a specimen of an athlete. Physically, his presence is powerful and dominating. His force on the mound as well as his precision to locate pitches provide a cause for concern for the opposing team. Mix in his affable character and drive to always be better, he's a teammate and leader that every team and organization deserves.

I've known Ben since he was 12. An incredible work ethic, and a very smart young man who comes from good morals. Big, strong athletic kid.
