Personal

Played D3 College baseball for Claremont McKenna College in Los Angeles California. After college, I spent a season playing locally with the Los Angeles Legends (LABL) and the Los Angeles Raptors (PCBL). I am currently spending the 2021 season with UVV Utrecht in the Honkbal Overgangsklasse in Holland.

In college my fastball was 83-85 MPH, but after graduating, I increased my velocity to 88-91 and added a curveball. Between the PCBL and LABL (including playoffs), I went 7-0 while posting a 1.00 ERA, 1.02 WHIP, 12.2 K/9, 3.4 BB/9 over 45 innings with 61 strikeouts. I was named Championship CO-MVP of the PCBL and Championship MVP of the LABL.

I am currently spending the 2021 season pitching for UVV Utrecht. I will add my stats here throughout the season.

As a pitcher I throw Fastball, Changeup, Curveball, Slider. The fastball sits around 88-91 with run. The changeup is my next best pitch with good control and movement. My slider and curveball have very good movement (2500-2700 RPM) and the control is improving as I continue to throw them more often. As a batter I have good power and can play anywhere in the field (IF, OF, C).

Overseas Baseball Goals:
I’m looking for a team where I can have a large impact as a starting pitcher. My goal is to travel to new countries while continuing my baseball career. Eventually I would like to compete in some of the top overseas leagues such as in Japan, Korea, or Australia.

Character wise, one of the hardest working players I have ever met. Really smart kid and has a real passion for baseball! He is the kid who turned himself into a ball player from not much at all. Definitely an over achiever.

Jesse Davis

Ben Meyer is a specimen of an athlete. Physically, his presence is powerful and dominating. His force on the mound as well as his precision to locate pitches provide a cause for concern for the opposing team. Mix in his affable character and drive to always be better, he's a teammate and leader that every team and organization deserves.

I've known Ben since he was 12. An incredible work ethic, and a very smart young man who comes from good morals. Big, strong athletic kid.
