Andrew is quiet, soft spoken, but very competitive. He has a very good personality that allowed him to connect with the majority of our team in a short amount of time on campus here. He has a very strong work ethic, positive outlook, & is very driven to chase greatness. He finished our spring very strong, which set him up for a good summer from what I saw. He still has a lot of upside and if given the right opportunity will provide value to a team on the mound and in the locker room. He is yet to reach his ceiling, but I felt like he was getting very close as the year progressed. I would not be surprised if he ended up being a very successful professional baseball player, due to his skill set, demeanor, & competitiveness. I give him my full recommendation.
Good work ethic, has some toughness, was always ready to go. Never complains. He's very quiet but engaged but I liked it, low maintenance. Just tell him when he needs to throw. He was a leverage reliver for us, but I think he has enough mix of pitches that he could start. He's big, strong, with a strong arm. Fastball was 91-97. Slider 81-84. He was good for us!
I had the privilege of being Guardino's pitching coach in the 2024-25 season. He is one of the most enjoyable guys to be around. Dude loves to get after it and is a great team guy. There was not one team player he didn't get along with. Definition of a glue guy with his personality. I couldn't recommend him enough! Any team who has Andrew is lucky to have him! Dude can also hurl a baseball. He had his best outing of the season when it mattered most in an elimination game of the conference tournament. I can't say enough good things about him.
