Athletic catcher with power to all fields, can get on base and takes a lot of pride into his defense. Hard nosed baseball player that loves to be on a baseball field and cares about helping people and other ballclubs. See video of Andy at a youth clinic in Germany.

Abilities summary: Consistent athletic catcher with 10+ years of playing experience in 3 different top leagues in Europe (Germany, Belgium, Austria). Good at handling a pitching staff and helping my pitchers to get the opposing hitters out. Smooth hands behind the dish and able to control the running game (2.0 glove to 2nd base).  Mentally always trying to be two steps ahead of the opposition. Powerful hitter that grinds out at-bats and also gets on base at a consistent and high rate. Comfortable at leading a team and helping my teammates and the club to get the most out of them. Will have finished studies in physiotherapy, bachelor of science by mid summer 2019.

David Burns

Opposing coach & player

I have been playing against Lasty for a number of years now and can say with confidence that he would be a great pick up for a team in Australia which is in need of a solid defensive catcher with a middle-of-the-order bat. He recently joined our team, the Attnang Athletics in Austria for the 2019 season, and it is apparent that he works hard on his game and is in great shape. Lasty is also a great team guy. I noticed this playing against him over the years as he would frequently engage in conversation with me during the games. Now that he has joined our team it is already evident that he will make a major impact to the team moral as well as on the scoreboard.

Chris Dassy

Former Head Coach, Namur Angels

I coached Andy in 2012 with my former ball club, the Namur Angels at the time when the club was at its peak. Behind the plate, he performed extremely well for our team. Offensively, he hit for high average with regular extra base hits. I remember him as being very aggressive on the base paths. On top of his baseball skills, I have to say that Andy brings a lot of energy to the ballpark and displayed leadership. Also, and he bonded very quickly with the team, which was a good thing. I believe he is someone who is comfortable adjusting to a lot of different situations. I highly recommend him. In fact, I would love to have him back on my current team if that was possible.

Hiro Sakanashi

Head Coach, Vienna Wanderers

Played with Lasti for three years and also being assisted by him running the team. With our young talented 2nd team, he ran the team very well and also brought the team to the regional league championship as a head coach. As a player, He has a very good experience behind the plate, calling the game very good no matter what kind of pitchers are on the bump. He also has some pop on the bat. Knowing what pitch to look for and has a good hand eye coordination. In the end, he is a very nice guy and fun to be around. He is very dedicated to the team he plays for. He will give a lot of efforts to help out the organization.
