Pitching: I am an off-speed pitcher throwing low 50s. What makes me able to compete in higher competition is having a lot of movement. I throw a dropball, drop curve (also backdoor), curveball, screwball, change-up, and rise ball.

I do not have a particular position I favorite most.
For first base, I enjoy having a lot of responsibility and being vocal. A lot of pressure for making plays in the dirt or hyping up my pitcher when she needs it. Calling for times when I see a certain player getting inside her head, reminding her that we’ve got her back. For outfield, I can play anywhere. Reading the ball is something I am good at. I am able to understand spin and get to it before it bounces the other direction or reading how the ball will bounce off the wall. I am also vocal when I throw the ball to my cutoffs and tell them who to throw it to so they can already position themselves when they receive the ball.

I love being the teammate everyone goes to for advice or to have someone simply listen. I love listening to teammates’ stories and how they ended up on the team. I also love hyping them up and getting extra reps. after practice or going after practice to get a sweet treat! I love feedback and how to become a better player, so I love receiving any suggestion. I love making dad jokes but know when to be serious.

Overseas Goals

I would love the opportunity to take my career overseas to help other athletes to compete. I know I am only one person and not a whole team of athletes but if I can make a difference in a team competing or not because they need one more player I would be honored.

Back when I was in high school there was a girl playing professional ball overseas and I was star struck! I wanted to go play in new places I have never been before. I got to college played ball there but unfortunately my time was ticking and only having one year left to play was something that scared me. Having softball as my escape from reality for almost 20 years is not something I can accept easily. I was not giving it up soon and like a memory shot right from the back to the front in clear view the girl I met telling me about her experience overseas. I searched the internet frantically trying to find a way overseas. I have done the steps to get my name out there all I can do is wait and hope!

Current Fitness Level

After I was done competing at Rio Hondo College, I went to a university. Everything was going to plan; I was about to play my first game, and our coach gives us bad news that some of our teammates will not be on the team anymore. I was very upset, but I did not miss a beat. I went straight to my Rio Hondo coach and asked her if I could train with her. As of right now there are a couple of girls I practice with a week until college ball starts.
