Personal

Alex hits for both average and power, and he consistently has high on-base percentages, so he is a very effective middle-of-the order presence in the lineup.

Defensively, he can play any of the outfield positions, and he also has experience from high school and junior college as a second baseman and third baseman.  He has above-average speed, with times in the 60-yard dash ranging to 6.6 seconds.  His speed helps him get to balls in the outfield that others would not, as well as making him a significant base-stealing threat.

As a teammate, Alex is very supportive and upbeat, and he brings much positive energy to a team.  He is a lead-by-example type, but he is a vocal leader when necessary.  He is the type who consistently puts in extra work to achieve continual improvement.

He has a lot of coaching experience, as well, having been a private instructor and a camp counselor at the youth level and also been head coach of teams with 13- and 14-year-olds.  He would be excited about assisting a club’s coaching staff.
