After a winter training with Driveline baseball, Alex is currently in Sweden where he led the Elitserien in home-runs.

Alex spent six years at the Canadian Sport Institute, where he learned about athletic development, focused on strength and speed. He enjoys sharing what he has learned from Olympic trainers. Specifically, he shares workshops on shoulder care and using breathing for enhanced recovery and focus.

On the field, Alex hits for power and is a plus runner that competed in track & field. He plays defense wherever the team needs him but has played full seasons at CF, 3B, 2B, LF, and DH. Highlights of his career are:

  • Playing at Rogers Centre in Toronto
  • Provincial gold-medal
  • National bronze-medal
  • NCAA NWC conference championship

As a coach, Alex works camps and instructional sessions where he shares what he has learned about efficient skill development; making practices fun using competitions and outcome-based reps. Alex is grateful to have learned from many coaches over the years; notably 1998 WS MVP Scott Brosius. Most of all, Alex appreciates the people and places that baseball has brought into his life.

Away from the diamond, he enjoys yoga and reading about human performance. He looks forward to contributing to a club as a player and resource for coaches, youth and parents. Contact him at hendrabrown@gmail.com

Marty Hall

Victoria Eagles Baseball Club, Coach

Alex is a dedicated person to any endeavour he chooses to follow. He works extremely hard at his craft and always makes time to work on every aspect of his game. He will do what it takes to improve himself while inspiring others around him to do the same. Alex has the ability to see the game from a players perspective but also as a young coach. He has been around youth teams and works well with young players. I feel Alex is ready to take the next step with his career and playing overseas is helping him reach these goals. I only have high praise for Alex as a person, an Instructor, and a young inspiring coach. He will benefit any program/club/team/organization.

Fred Beitler

Last Raps Baseball, Owner

When Alex began coming to our clinics as a youth player, his attention to detail was off the charts. Alex displayed a work ethic that was beyond his years as a child. As he developed as a player through his high school years, Alex had a keen interest to give back to the young players who followed behind him showing patience and providing valuable information to those players to help them in their development.

Though Alex had full commitment to school and his baseball en devours, he provided us some assistance in coaching with our youth summer camps. His understanding of the sport, patience with young players coupled with his strong organization skills allowed him to gain the respect quickly from those who were learning the game from him.

Alex's greatest strength will be that he leads by example and would never ask a player to do something that he would not be willing to do himself. Those clubs who are looking for a young coach who is professional beyond his years, Alex would be an ideal candidate for any job.

Kyle Horne

ProWay Baseball, Instructor

Alex has to be one of the most studious players in the game. He continually strives to better his abilities day in and day out. I've known Alex since he was 12 years old, and he is the hardest working player I know!!! First to practice last to leave, always asking for extra help and more information. Any player that gets the chance to play with or play for Alex is extremely fortunate. Alex will make a great coach that will impact a lot of players both on and off the field with his work ethic and intelligence of the game.
