On the field, Alex hits for power and is a plus runner that competed in track & field. He plays defense wherever the team needs him but has played full seasons at CF, 3B, 2B, LF, and DH. Highlights of his career are:
- Playing at Rogers Centre in Toronto
- Provincial gold-medal
- National bronze-medal

As a coach, Alex works camps and instructional sessions where he shares what he has learned about efficient skill development; making practices fun using competitions and outcome-based reps. Alex is grateful to have learned from many coaches over the years; notably 1998 WS MVP Scott Brosius. Most of all, Alex appreciates the people and places that baseball has brought into his life.
