Personal

In 2013, I was offered a Division 1 baseball scholarship from Canisius College, where I was told I have more raw power than Brett Siddall (Drafted by A’s as a junior, 13th round). However, I did not see myself develop into the player that my coaches or myself believed I would become. So, I transferred back home to New Jersey to play at Rutgers-Newark University.

While there, I learned to develop myself as both a player and a leader. In the summer prior to my senior year, I saw myself striking out a lot. I went to an eye doctor and received glasses. Once I got used to the glasses, I became unstoppable at the plate, finishing my last few weeks of summer ball with an average over .400. My ability to work, and see, allowed me to start seeing results I wanted.

Fast forward to the fall of my senior season and I continued how I ended my summer, dominating our pitching and creating a buzz everyday at practice. I had the best season of my life. My numbers went up, and my strikeouts went down. I was recognized as an All-Conference player in the New Jersey Athletic Conference and, again, have the confidence to not only play pro ball, but to dominate.

Abilities summary: I have a lot of tools. I am able to hit for both power and average (.385 average, .574 slugging), allowing me to drive in runs (35 RBI in 32 games). I am able to get on base (.483 OBP)and steal bases. I am able to use my speed in the outfield where I have a strong arm (11 outfield assists in 2 years).
