Former MLB pitcher Josh Collmenter became an official member of the Baseball Jobs Overseas website on February 19, 2018, after he elected for free agency four months earlier following a 2017 season which started well with the Atlanta Braves but eventually saw him outrighted to their AAA affiliate after a rough May. This ended a 7 year MLB career where Collmenter posted a 3.64 era and a 38-35 record over 695.1 innings pitched.

Collmenter reached out to BBJO in search of an overseas option where he could make a major impact, experience another culture, and look to work out some issues in hopes of another run at an MLB contract.

This audio interview has Josh as a guest commentator for the play-by-play of a December 21, 2018 game between the Adelaide Bite and his new team, the upstart Auckland Tuatara which is the first-ever professional team out of New Zealand which joined the Australian Baseball League for the 2018-19 expansion season. The 32 year-old has a 3-2 record and a 2.23 era for the 7-16 Tuatara going into the Christmas break on December 23rd.
