The Dornbirn Indians had their name put on the international baseball map for all the wrong reasons when this photo went viral way back in the early 2000’s. Basically, at the time and for many years prior, their baseball field doubled as a parking lot for neighboring soccer games. Long story short, one soccer fan had too much to drink and failed to pick up their car the next day before the game of the club’s second mens team. So they improvised…..
Over the course of 2017 and early 2018, the Dornbirn Indians upgraded their ballpark to this little gem highlighted in this short video, which goes well with the beautiful Austrian mountainous backdrop. Soon thereafter the Indians won only their second Baseball League Austrian Championship in 2019, their first since 2003.
