The Füssen Royal Bavarians Baseball and Softball Club was founded in 1987. The first baseball team currently plays in the German 2 Bundesliga.

Füssen is located at the foot of the Alps in southern Germany at the border to Austria and is considered one of the most beautiful areas in Europe. Millions of tourists come to Füssen and its surroundings every year, primarily to visit Neuschwanstein Castle, but also to enjoy the mountains, lakes, and peaceful atmosphere.

But Füssen also has a lot to offer in terms of baseball. As one of the oldest baseball clubs in Bavaria and a two-time state champion, the Royal Bavarians are one of the most established clubs in Bavaria. With more than 180 members and a total of 8 teams (2 Men’s teams, 15-under, 12-under, 10-under, 8-under and 16-under softball) the club offers baseball/softball for both young and old.

The year 2021 also marked the opening of the long-awaited new ballpark. The King’s Field was even featured in a video about baseball in Europe made by MLB. Further improvements such as lights and club house etc. are planned or already under way.

We are looking for an import player and coach for the 2025 season (March-September). The position consists of two main parts: Player in the first men’s team and coach in the youth program.

As a player, we are looking for a starting pitcher who can attack hitters early in the count and flood the zone with lots of strikes. A second position is desirable, but not mandatory. In addition, the player should also oversee the team’s pitching program. Driveline expertise is required.

As a youth coach, the candidate should have a certain passion and love for the game and coaching. In addition to the development of young players across all age groups, teaching and knowledge transfer to the coaches in our organization is also important to us. On a personal level, we expect an open-minded and friendly person who is committed to the club and is respectful and helpful towards club members.

Our import will receive a small salary and get a furnished apartment incl. bathroom, bedroom and kitchen. We will provide further benefits such as:
